What is a Hunt?
A hunt is a treasure hunt experience you create for players to enjoy. Each hunt contains a series of clues that players solve to progress through the adventure.
Creating Your First Hunt
- Sign in to TreasureRat using your Google, Apple, or email account
- Click "Create Hunt" from your dashboard
- Give your hunt a name (e.g., "Birthday Treasure Hunt")
- Optionally add a description that players will see when they start
- Click "Create" to start adding clues
Adding Clues
Once your hunt is created, you'll be taken to the hunt editor where you can add clues.
- Click "Add Clue"
- Choose a clue type (Question, Find, or Location)
- Enter your clue text - this is what players will see
- Set up the answer (text input or multiple choice)
- Optionally add a hint to help stuck players
- Click "Save Clue"
Repeat this process to add more clues. Players will see clues in order, one at a time.
Tip: Start with 5-10 clues for your first hunt. You can always add more later!
